Robert D. Sumner Board Room
Dade City, FL June 21, 2011— First National Bank of Pasco Chairman of the Board, Andy (AP) Gibbs, announced that the Board of Directors unanimously passed a resolution recognizing Robert D. Sumner at its June Board meeting.
Andy Gibbs said, “We deeply mourn the passing of Bobby Sumner who has been such a large part of our bank. Robert D. Sumner served as a member of this Board from February 21, 1996 to May 25, 2011; as President of the Holding Company since March 20, 2008; and as our President and CEO of the Bank since April 16, 2009.”
The Board Resolution reads “In recognition of Bobby Sumner’s gifts of time, talent and treasure to the First National Bank of Pasco over the years, we hereby proclaim our deepest appreciation to Bobby and his family; Be it known that from this day forward the Dade City Board Room will be known as the Robert D. Sumner Board Room and a plaque will be affixed to the room with this resolution.”
Mr. Gibbs continued, “Bobby is the reason our community is so well preserved. He sought intelligent solutions to some of the toughest issues facing the County and the Dade City/Zephyrhills marketplace. Through his connections to the key players in the community, we were able to bring hometown banking to our friends and neighbors insuring that the magic of small town banking is a strong tradition led by First National Bank of Pasco.”
